Round-headed bush clover is an underutilized native with excellent value in the landscape. Foliage ranges from silvery-blue to dusty green. From late summer into fall, clusters of tiny pink and white flowers emerge from bristly flower heads. Flowers give way to ochre-y brown seed pods that are retained through the colder months, offering winter interest in the landscape while providing a wildlife food source. Highly adaptable, this plant is an easy doer that can be found growing in the wild across all regions of NC.

‘Thundercloud’ is a large, impressive cultivar of Panicum virgatum, a native, warm-season bunch grass. This cultivar grows up to 8’ and 3-4’ wide, making it a wonderful screening plant with added wildlife benefit. Bluish-green foliage turns an attractive golden-brown and retains seed panicles in the winter. Tolerates dry sites in full sun once established.
